Equine-Assisted Wellness SessionS

BREATHE INTO THE FEEL

Step away from the chaos and into a quiet, grounding space with horses as your guides. This powerful introductory wellness journey invites participants to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves in a safe, reflective environment.

Led by Horse and Human Connection Coach Matt Vale, this session is designed specifically for you.  Through mindful horse grooming, breathing exercises, intention-setting, and silent walking with horses, participants learn to observe their inner landscape without judgment.

You’ll explore how:
Feelings are not facts — and not who you are
Breathing into your heart creates calm and clarity
Horses mirror us, showing what we can’t always see ourselves
Emotions like anger and grief can be met with healthy boundaries and space
Quiet moments with horses help re-pattern our nervous system

Participants are invited to:
Map their heart and check in with their feelings
Observe without reacting
Practice patience and self-compassion
Build emotional awareness through touch and presence
Feel safe enough to feel — and begin to heal

This isn’t about horsemanship — it’s about humanity. Horses help us return to our breath, our truth, and a place where it’s okay to just be. Through this session, we lay the groundwork for a healthier relationship with self and others.

“When you breathe into the feel, you begin to see yourself the way the horse sees you — with patience, curiosity, and without judgment.” – Matt Vale

For Veterans & First Responders:

PonyUp4Kids Foundation offers a trauma-informed equine-assisted wellness session led by Horse and Human Connection Coach Matt Vale, specifically designed for veterans, first responders, those in recovery and individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress. This unique experience creates a quiet, emotionally safe space where participants can slow down, reflect, and reconnect through the healing presence of horses.  By engaging in guided activities such as mindful grooming, breathwork, and intention-setting, participants are encouraged to build emotional regulation, reduce stress, and develop healthier internal responses.

Community partners such as veteran outreach programs, recovery centers, and first responder wellness initiatives are invited to collaborate with PonyUp4Kids to bring groups for these impactful, restorative sessions.

For Youth in Foster Care, Residential Programs, or Experiencing Emotional Challenges:

This equine-assisted wellness program provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment for youth ages 10 and older who may be living in foster care, group homes, or facing behavioral and emotional challenges. Through gentle, guided interaction with horses — including grooming, walking, and observation — young participants learn self-awareness, communication skills, and how to identify and process their emotions in healthy ways. Horses offer powerful, nonverbal feedback that helps children feel seen, safe, and valued without pressure or expectation.

Agencies serving youth in care, therapeutic schools, and residential programs are encouraged to partner with PonyUp4Kids Foundation to coordinate visits or ongoing sessions that promote resilience, emotional growth, and positive connection.
