Volunteers are the heart of the PonyUp4Kids Foundation Inc. Volunteers take an active, hands-on role maintaining the farm, providing love, care and attention to the equine residents, act as tour guides for visitors, lead fundraising efforts and help make a positive impact on the lives of the horses and participants.
No experience? No problem!
PonyUp4Kids provides a Volunteer Training program to become a Certified Volunteer.
Volunteer Training Program at PonyUp4Kids
At PonyUp4Kids Foundation, we believe every volunteer has the power to make a lasting impact—not just on the lives of our participants, but on the horses who help heal them. Our 2-hour volunteer training sessions are designed to equip you with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to become a compassionate, capable, and connected member of our community.
During your sessions, you’ll explore and learn:
- The essential qualities of an effective volunteer
- Strategies for meaningful communication and engagement
- How to be consciously present and build impactful connections
- Practical ways to support those in need and uplift humanity
You’ll also gain hands-on experience in:
- Safe horse handling and grooming
- Equine care and nutrition
- Stable management skills
- Developing your “superpower” of observation to ensure safety and well-being
At the end of the program, you’ll demonstrate your mastery of safe horse handling and earn your official PonyUp4Kids Volunteer Certificate—a proud symbol of your readiness to serve with heart, skill, and purpose.
Beyond the skills, you’ll connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for helping others and working with horses. Through inspiring discussions and shared experiences, you’ll discover how to turn compassion into action and become part of a ripple effect of kindness that touches every horse, visitor, and participant who walks through our gates.

PARTNER WITH PONYUP4KIDS
PonyUp4Kids Foundation is seeking passionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Physical Therapists looking to collaborate with us in a unique opportunity. Partner with our program to bring your clients to experience the transformative power of equine-assisted therapy while documenting their progress in a compelling 8-12 week case study.
About the Opportunity:
As a partner, you will:
- Introduce your clients to PonyUp4Kids’ equine therapy and nature-based programming.
- Utilize neurodiversity-affirming approaches to foster growth and confidence in participants of all abilities.
- Work with our team to create personalized therapy plans that leverage the unique benefits of hippotherapy and outdoor environments.
- Document and analyze the progress of your clients, culminating in a case study that highlights the success and impact of this innovative approach.
