Boots is a 5-year-old Quarter Horse gelding who came heartbreakingly close to losing his life. Rescued from the Oklahoma kill pen, he was bound for the slaughterhouse—discarded and forgotten because of a boney spur on his spine near the neck.

Before rescue, Boots endured inhumane treatment and neglect. But despite the pain and hardship, this sweet soul remains friendly, gentle, and full of quiet resilience. He didn’t give up on people—and now we won’t give up on him.

Honey is not just a horse—she's a miracle on four legs. This stunning 2-year-old Cremello filly was rescued from the brink of tragedy, narrowly escaping a trip to the slaughterhouse. Her story is one of resilience, beauty, and the power of second chances.

Honey is a Quarter Horse, a breed celebrated for its versatility, intelligence, and calm demeanor. But what makes her truly stand out is her Cremello coloring—a genetic rarity. With her cream-colored coat, icy blue eyes, and delicate pink skin, Honey looks like she stepped out of a fairytale. This unique appearance comes from a double dose of the cream dilution gene, which softens her base coat into a luminous, ethereal hue.

Before her rescue, Honey faced a grim fate. As a weanling, she was on her way to the slaughterhouse—a heartbreaking end for such a young, sweet creature. But thanks to compassionate intervention, she was pulled from the brink and given a chance to live the life she deserves.

Cinnamon is a beautiful 6-year-old, mare who has already endured more than any horse should. She came to us after narrowly escaping death from an abusive situation — yet despite it all, she remains sweet, kind, and still willing to trust people.

Her gentle spirit is proof of just how much hope and resilience horses carry in their hearts.

Meet Toby, also known as Perfect Partner—a horse whose gentle spirit and kind heart have brought immeasurable joy and smiles to countless children and families in Dutchess County, NY. Toby is more than just a horse; he’s a beloved friend, a trusted companion, and a symbol of the incredible bond that can form between animals and humans. 

For years, Toby has been a fixture in our community, attending local shows, participating in Girl Scout events, marching in parades, and bringing joy to many during community gatherings. His calm demeanor and loving nature have made him a favorite among children, helping them build confidence, learn responsibility, and experience the joy of horseback riding. Toby is not just any horse—he is a perfect partner to everyone lucky enough to meet him. 

Now, in his senior years, Toby is living the life he’s earned, enjoying his relaxed routine, still spreading joy to children and families. But like all senior horses, Toby has special needs. He suffers from arthritis, which requires regular veterinary care to keep him comfortable and healthy. He needs ongoing treatments, medication, and careful management to ensure his mobility and quality of life remain good. Toby is also a big boy, and he eats a bale of hay a day, along with other nutritional support to keep his energy up and his weight steady.
